Rabid Richy 1st place in the 11.2 mile cycle race, Tina B 3rd. Saw off the might of the island kids and the parents with trailer bikes! Great event. Campbeltown Running Club dominated the 11.2 mile run in both male and female categories with only a visiting runner taking second in the female race spoiling a clean sweep. Sun burned face and good food was all part of the frolics!

Achnamara to Ardrishaig - 7 mile trail run - Sunday 3rd April 11am

John, Peter, Naomi & Dave- completed this inaugrual crossing of the peninsula- bit boggy in places but great views!

John and Sarah are hosting this fun/training run- The Dalriada project put in a marked trail (posts with red dots) from Achnamara to Ardrishaig, largely on forest trails but with a rather soggy 1.5 miles in the middle - dry feet not really an option! It can be hard going in places - there’s not a path all the way and it could certainly do with a bit more traffic.

February Frenzy - Campbeltown Running Club.

News Flash - Rabid Richy finishes 7/23 (time) but 8/23 (handicap) in 49.09. The course had 709 ft of ascent. He is pleased with the result. Good speed on the flat, hills killed him. Average pace 7.32. Job done! Well organised event with welcoming soup afterwards.

Rabid Richy B takes on the might of Campbeltown Running Club on Sunday 26/2. The run is a handicapped 6.5 mile trail race around Lussa Loch just outside the Wee Toon. This is his third weekend in a row of racing for the getting a bit more athletic endurance dude.

A wee bird tells me though that he has over raced and and added big mileage in between the events. His legs are now a twig of their former meaty self. How will he fair? News update tomorrow.
